From the "hICEstory" art series, in which photographs of significant historical events are frozen in ice and captured by the artist’s camera without any digital manipulation, this work portrays one of the gatherings during Iran's Constitutional Revolution (1905–1911). Constitutionalists and liberals fought to establish a democratic government and society, a constitution, the rule of law, and a representative parliament. Their efforts resulted in the formation of Iran's first parliament in 1906 and it became the first constitutional revolution in Asia, leaving a lasting legacy in Iranians’ ongoing pursuit of democracy and civil rights.
