The juxtaposition of the Coca-Cola logo over Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) ripstop refers to the horrendous crimes surrounding the American corporation abroad. In Colombia, Coca-Cola has allegedly collaborated with right-wing paramilitary forces who tortured and executed union leaders. SINALTRAINAL v. Coca-Cola Co. is the name of the 2009 court case surrounding these events. The verdict found the corporation unaccountable. This story is not unique to American corporations, many of whom face accusations of similar crimes in the global South, yet are deemed innocent by courts within the United States.
