War Games is a visual reality check on the high cost of reckless leadership. The piece depicts Donald Trump playing with toy soldiers on a canvas made entirely of fused discarded plastic trash bags. I chose to work with discarded plastic waste because plastic is cheap, toxic, and designed to be thrown away—the perfect metaphor for a political mindset that treats global security like a disposable plaything. By staging this scene on a trash bag, the artwork connects the dots between a throwaway culture and a haphazard approach to foreign policy, where real human lives are reduced to cheap, plastic pawns. Ultimately, the piece makes a messy and urgent point: when those in power view geopolitical conflict as a casual game, the human consequences are treated like garbage.
